Louis DeSantis, 62, a 21-year veteran of the Revere Fire Department, died Friday while battling a brush fire in Revere.
Born in Revere, he was a lifelong resident and attended Revere schools.
Mr. DeSantis served as a corporal in the US Marine Corps during World War II and received a Purple Heart.
