A twenty-four year Police Officer with the Holyoke Police Department, died at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, after his cruiser hit a tree. In addition to serving as a patrol officer, Dave was the longtime D.A.R.E. Officer for the Holyoke Schools serving as school resource officer. He was responsible for starting the D.A.R.E. Camps held each summer. In the early 1990's, Dave co-founded the "Pizza with Police" program that invited children in Holyoke to get to know the members of the Department over slices of pizza. Dave also arranged for the New England Patriots players to come to Holyoke to play in fundraising games against Holyoke Police.
