On Tuesday, November 15, the Hundred Club had the opportunity to join the Bruins Foundation at the Taste of Encore event. The event, held at the Encore Hotel allowed us to bring two beneficiaries and a guest for the evening. After a lovely hour of mingling, we were treated to a 3 course meal and had 2 Bruins players at our table.
Deidre Griffiths and her daughter Melanie joined us as well as Ann Couture and her friend Patty. Deidre’s husband, Sherman was a Boston Police Officer shot and killed while serving a warrant on February 18, 1988.
Ann Couture’s husband Sergeant Edward Couture died on July 10, 1997 while working a traffic detail.
