Lieutenant Stephen F. Minehan died after leading his company in a successful search for two other trapped firefighters at a nine-alarm fire in a vacant waterfront warehouse. He was posthumously awarded the ‘John E. Fitzgerald Medal for the Most Meritorious Act’ in 1995.
