FF Alan King died on June 25, 2025 after a brief illness. He leaves behind a wife and loving family.
Alan has been a Paramedic/Firefighter for 37 years, most recently for the Town of Dartmouth in District 3, and previously worked as a Paramedic in the towns of Plymouth and Brookline. Alan was instrumental in the fire department achieving a licensed EMS service in 2009 and overlooked the EMS division for the department. He was also currently the Infectious Disease Control Officer and was the first President of the Dartmouth Permanent Firefighters District 3 Local 5156.
